
Sabeeka Al Shamlan
Oral History Consultant
Sabeeka is an Oral History Consultant with Badael with over 14 years of experience in sustainable development, gender research and diversity and inclusion. With a passion for gender equality, Sabeeka founded Warsha Consultancy and Development in Bahrain where she works with organizations regionally on D&I initiatives through capacity building, consulting, research and development. Prior to that she has worked with different regional and international NGOs including the UNDP on sustainable growth and gender projects and was a Local Oral History Researcher with SARD network, documenting the experiences and historical narratives of feminist organizations in Bahrain.
Sabeeka is a Certified Women Crisis Advocate for Shamsaha Women Center, and an Alumni of the Manama Hub of the Global Shapers Community. She sits on the advisory board of the Women Research Center at the Royal University for Women in Bahrain, and the board of directors for AIESEC in Bahrain. Sabeeka holds a Master of Research in Gender Studies from the University of Portsmouth.
