
Massa Mufti
Board Member
Massa Mufti is an education expert, has over 22 years of experience in education across the US, Lebanon, and Syria. She is the founder of SONBOLA (2014–2019), an NGO focused on quality education for refugee and vulnerable children in Lebanon. She has worked as the Arabic Curriculum Manager at Learning Equality and as a Research Fellow at the Syrian Center for Policy Research and the Issam Fares Institute at AUB, in addition to consulting for ESCWA and others. Her expertise includes education policies, pedagogies, curriculum development, and teacher training, with a focus on Education in Emergencies. Currently, she is the Education Specialist at Plan International Lebanon. Massa holds graduate degrees in French Literature and Educational Leadership and Policy and has completed certified trainings with INEE, Harvard Graduate School of Education, and MIT EMERITUS. She was a Harvard MEPLI Fellow (2019) and co-designed an Arabic teacher training course with HGSE and QRTA.
