

Faihaa Al Shawash

Faihaa Al-Shawash, who graduated from the Teacher Training Institute in Latakia in 2004, has more than 12 years of experience in civil society, human rights, peacebuilding, and combating violence against women. She worked for 12 years with the Ministry of Education and made significant contributions to several organizations such as Magic Caravan, Syria’s Bright Future, and Alternatives.
Faihaa served as a member of the executive office of the local council in Hass for two years and proved her efficiency in establishing the Women’s Empowerment Office in the town of Hass and several offices concerned with women’s affairs in southern Idlib. In addition, she worked with the organization “Syria’s Bright Future” in protection programs and participated in several advocacy campaigns on gender-based violence, human rights, and peacebuilding.
Since 2018, she joined Badael’s team and progressed through several positions until reaching the Civil Society Support Program Officer. She is currently working as a consultant in the Learn to Act project, highlighting her expertise in providing support to local communities and capacity development.
