Riyad is a Lawyer and expert in international and criminal documentation, and one of the leaders of the civil movement in Syria. At the beginning of the Syrian revolution, he founded the Rassd Foundation for Documentation and Human Rights. Riyad is community organizing consultant and activist in the field of peacebuilding and human rights, he has advanced experience in training and consulting on international humanitarian law, transitional justice, arbitration and mediation. He has worked with Badael since its inception and has held multiple positions as a peacebuilding trainer, civil society support program officer, program coordinator, program consultant and Badael’s representative in the Bridges of Truth project.
