Oula Ramadan

Oula Ramadan is the founder and Director of Badael with over 14 years of experience in human rights, peacebuilding, and sexual and gender-based violence. A dedicated and passionate advocate of human rights in Syria, she founded Badael in 2013 following a decade of activism and human rights work. Before founding Badael, she worked in Syria for UNHCR on responding and preventing sexual and gender-based violence in refugee communities from the MENA region. Oula co-authored several research papers with a focus on civil society, peace, and women activism. She holds MSc in Politics of Conflict, Rights, and Justice from SOAS University of London.
